Grand Magus Dandridin Tanithgil, First of the Court of the High King of Sorilan, Chancellor of the Free Realm, and Bearer of the Opal Torch is a Magus of great renown. Trained under the tutelage of the powerful Grand Magus Feldus Canisbar, Dandridin distinguished himself by demonstrating a sterling command of the Magics, as well as a keenly analytical mind and an aptitude for diplomacy. He quickly rose through the ranks of the Sorilander elite, finding a place at the High King’s Council. Negotiating a treaty with Sorilan’s bitter enemy, the Kingdom of Morilan, Dandridin’s keen knack for problem solving and cool head in the face of difficulty earned him the title of Chancellor of the Free Realm. Having negotiated peace between the two warring kingdoms, the King raised Dandridin to the rank of Bearer of the Opal Torch, the highest honor Sorilan can pay to a Magus, and presented him with the Staff of Resounding Force, which he wields to this very day. Playing a pivotal roll in the dreaded Battle of the Mourning Night, he risked his life in an effort to defeat the Mad Oracles.

Ever a student of the ancient prophecies, Dandridin has been on a lifelong quest to find the Pride, knowing that the ultimate fate of all beings on Tarune rests in keeping the Pride out of evil hands. As kind as he is wise, Dandridin is also steadfast in his commitment to protecting and teaching the Pride.
