How do we make ourselves better?

Happy Friday, everyone.

Life comes at you in the most interesting and, often, unexpected of ways.

As a warrior of some noble and exotic class, you expect to be tested on the battlefield. As a magic-user, it is the enchantment of gaining mastery over some arcane spell that tantalizes the mind. Rouges carouse with street toughs and cutpurses seize upon unsuspecting tavern patrons. Those are the typical cliches. We love them because we are used to them. As authors, we put our own unique spin on them, but it is always nice to have a hint of the familiar in what you do.

The trick is to make those cliches not so, well…cliche. How do we make them interesting and unexpected? In short, how do we infuse some life into them? How do we find the truth?

Well, we plumb the depths of our souls. We look for the successes and failures of our day-to-day existence that might give heft and meaning to the art we create. We find the truth of what makes us strong, and the honesty of what makes us weak.

I have done a lot of that searching, recently. Because, well…life has come at me in most interesting and unexpected ways, as of late. We have some interesting things on the horizon to share. These upcoming events will give us some amazing insights into what we do and are working to create.

How do we make ourselves better? We embrace life: the good, the bad, the interesting and the unexpected. Like I said, there are some interesting things on the horizon. It is time to make ourselves better. Stay posted, as Caiya would say, for our interesting developments. I will be sharing them with you soon.
