Predators: The Elitician

Hello everyone! Happy Friday!

DISCLAIMER: As with all my blogs, these are just my fictional creations to add to the layers of mythology that is the world of Necromancers’ Pride. If I were to create something in the world, it would be this. They don’t really exist…but wouldn’t it be cool if they did?

This week, biology! I love biology and the genetic make up of organisms. So, I thought I’d experiment with animals in this week’s blog.

Introducing The Elitician!

Average Length(wingspan): 11′ 5”ft; males. 10′; females.

Average Weight: 32lbs; males. 22lbs; females.

Average Lifespan: 10-13 years; males/females.

This animal evolved from the common bird that you would normally see flying in the air minding its own business with normal feathers. What spiked its evolutionary change is the genetic coding. Looking at a punnet square of the Eliticians’ physical features, the scales trait is incomplete dominance. They increased in size due to sexual attractiveness to the other gender. Several males of the species had the uncommon scaly trait and passed it on to the next generations who had no scales. Dominance failed to generate and scales with feathery wings became the new dominant trait. Now in the modern day, all that patrol the skies of this species are scaly and rough, especially when it comes to hunting.

Even before its evolutionary change, these birds of prey were exceptional hunters. They skulk the skies of the wicked Jundin’s Pass searching for their next meal. They primarily hunt Horren offspring because they are light to carry and are easy targets. These predators are equipped with sharp talons that pierce into flesh like a sword to jell-o to carry prey almost their weight and carry them back to the nest for their young to feast on. Hunters beware to search for the Elitician because they are very defensive of their offspring.

All in all, a very ferocious bird of prey with a bad attitude toward outsiders who want to inflict harm to them. This is an example of evolution at its finest.

Would you want an Elitician as a pet? Let me know in the comments!

As always everyone, see ya next week!
