Our Deepest Fear

I love this quote. Ms. Williamson really hit it right on the head with this one. Thank you, Ms. Williamson. As Necromancers’ Pride prepares to launch in a new direction, bringing our love of the written word more interactively into the ever expanding realm of multi-media platforms, I reflect on this often.

She goes on to say that, “Your playing small does not serve the world.” Very powerful statement, that. It is a good thing that neither D.W. nor I are playing small. Nevertheless, looking into the face of greatness can be daunting…especially when that face is the one reflected back at you in the mirror.

Taking new steps is challenging. Reinventing yourself is frightening. Playing large is taxing. But, with that newness, reinvention and largeness comes the vitality of boldness. Boldness has genius in it – another quote of which I am particularly fond, but lets not get off topic.

On this beautiful Thursday, I entreat you to embrace your greatness. For, as Mama Weaver so eloquently states with her peculiar brand of wisdom, “We have no need to fear the light.”

How do you get beyond what frightens you?
